Why Craft?
Craft is at the heart of what we do. Peru is a hub of skilled craftsmanship, where knitting is more than a trade—it’s a cultural passion, passed down through generations and visible in the incredible execution. And it’s what brings that extra specialness to any piece, making it different and more alive than your basic sweater.
We work closely with a network of knitting groups, workshops and family-run businesses across Lima. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain high standards of quality while fostering ethical and sustainable production, in addition to promoting small, local businesses. Every piece is a close collaboration with the artisans who bring brands’ designs to life.
Hand Knitting
In a country where over two-thirds of workers are employed informally, our business model brings our network of knitting leaders into the formal economy.
Our knitting leaders function as micro-businesses, where they are the entrepreneurs. This means knitters can stay and build their own communities right where they are and want to be. And in a city of 10+ million where daily commutes can easily surpass 3 hours, it means they have more time to spend with their children and families. It means they can make money and build a thriving livelihood without having to sacrifice their time, priorities, and relationships and without being forced to hire childcare.

The impact of craft
Knitting leaders and workshop owners manage their group of expert knitters, keep track of materials, monitor dates and quality and train their teams. We handle all client communications and purchases of raw materials so they can focus primarily on their craft. Styles are assigned to the best fit group based on skill and timing, then we separate and distribute materials to each group. We consistently check on progress, quality (technical specifications), answer questions, and provide assistance when needed. We are a team and collaboration is integral to how we operate.
Working with small businesses and entrepreneurs means having a greater and more meaningful impact. By working with us, knitters have been able to grow their businesses, send their children to better schools, invest in upgrading their homes, reinvest in their companies and hone their business skills. And of course, make the pursuit of what they love doing financially viable.
